Mom Success Stories!

My name is Stacie Zaragosa and the owner of "Beading By Stacie" http://www.beadingbystacie.com. I started creating beaded jewelry over 20 years ago, but didn't start selling my pieces until a little over a year ago. I started selling my jewelry at craft fairs and then moved my business online. I currently sell at 1-2 shows per month. What made me decide to start this business was that I found myself creating beaded jewelry and giving them away as gifts. Many people were asking me to make them jewelry. They would even buy their own beads and tell me to make something out of them. Then a light bulb went off in my head and decided, "Hey, I can start a business!" Why not start a business doing somethink I absolutely love.

I put my heart and soul into every piece I make.

This past summer I also signed up as a rep for Scentsy. They sell wickless candles, scentsy bars, room sprays and car candles. I took this on because I noticed at craft fairs, there are a ton of jewelers. Even though each has their own style, hearing people say "Not again, more jewelry" it kind of gets you down a bit. So I figured for those shows that do have alot of jewelers, I'll sell Scentsy. So far my plan is working.

On top of all of that, I work as a legal assistant for a law firm in NY. I work full time. 3 days a week I am able to work from home, and go into the office twice a week. My commute is 2 hours each way, so this situation works great especially with having 3 kids at home.
