I dreamed of having a baby and starting my own business. Unfortunately, I never conceived and the type of business I envisioned required a lot of upfront investment that I didn’t have. Even if I did have a baby and a business, I  wondered how I could spend enough time with a child and a business at the same time? Finally I realized, it was time to stop dreaming and wondering and start investigating!

My husband and I decided to adopt a child and choose an adoption agency. I decided to start an online retail business with drop shipped products so I could work from home and selected a service provider. As we created a profile for our adoption, I created a business.

Waiting for a baby and getting recognition in the search engines and sales from my web site seemed to be taking forever. I prayed for patience in waiting for a child and guidance in making my business a success.

A little over 3 years ago I held my adopted son in my arms for the first time and five months ago I gave up my part time job! Early in the morning of Mother’s Day 2006, I find myself writing my story. In doing so, I fully realized for the first time, I truly am a successful work at home Mom! My son is a happy and healthy 3 year old and my business consisting of two retail web sites is thriving!
